What NDIS participants are saying:

“My dream has finally come true, all I wanted was to stay at AGAPI” George stated.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national scheme designed to improve disability services in Australia. The NDIS supports people with a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities.

The NDIS will enable you to pay for supports that may help you achieve your goals in many aspects of your life, including independence, involvement in your community, education, employment and health and wellbeing.

The NDIS gives you more choice and control over how, when and where your supports are provided, and gives you certainty you will receive the support you need over your lifetime.

For more information on the NDIS you can visit the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) website at www.ndis.gov.au or call
1800 800 110.

The Victorian Roll Out and What this Means for You

The NDIS Barwon trial sites commenced in Victoria on 1 July 2013. The NDIS will be progressively rolled out in Victoria from 1 July 2016. By 1 July 2019 all eligible residents will be covered.

From 1 July 2016, AGAPI Care will contact people we support to update you on the actions we are taking to continue to provide tailored services and supports to meet your needs and goals.

During this transition period AGAPI Care will continue to deliver tailored services and supports to people with a disability and their families in Victoria, under existing funding arrangements as well as working closely with you to transition to the NDIS as it is rolled out in your area.
